Hey guys!
I have decided to split my "films I'm excited for in 2016" post into a quarterly series that I will do throughout the year because there are just so many films coming out in 2016, and you would probably forget by the time it gets to that date. So, this post will be about the films coming out in 2016 from January to March, and I must note that of course there are many films coming out this year, but these are just the ones that I am personally excited for. So here goes...
The Hateful Eight

The Hateful Eight follows the story of eight travellers in post-war America where they all meet in a stagecoach stopover whilst finding shelter from a blizzard. Bounty hunter John "The Hangman" Ruth and his fugitive prisoner encounter another bounty hunter, and also a man who claims to be a sheriff. However, they all learn that they may not all make it to their destination after all.

The Revenant

In 1823, Hugh Glass (DiCaprio) sustains injuries from a bear attack whilst exploring the wilderness, and his hunting team leaves him for dead. Glass must then use his survival skills to find his way back home to his family. He is fueled by his vengeance to track down John Fitzgerald (Hardy), who was part of the hunting team that abandoned him.

Kung Fu Panda 3

In the third film, Po reunites with his long-lost father, and he must train a village of clumsy pandas to help him defend the villainous Kai.

Deadpool

I cannot tell you how excited I am for the first Marvel film release of the year. From the multiple trailers released, Deadpool looks like it is going to be awesome and absolutely hilarious.
Deadpool follows the story of mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) who is subject to an experiment which leaves him with accelerated healing powers, and thus adopts the alter ego of Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and twisted sense of humour, Wilson then begins to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Zoolander 2

In Zoolander 2, models Derek Zoolander (Stiller) and Hansel (Wilson) must try to stop a conspiracy to kill the world's most beautiful people when an opposing company tries to take them out from the business.

Gods of Egypt

Gods of Egypt is the story of the survival of mankind when Set (Butler), the merciless God of darkness usurps Egypt's throne and plunges the empire into complete chaos. A mortal young thief called Bek (Thwaites) hopes to save the world and save his true love who was taken captive by Set. He forms an alliance with the powerful God Horus and their epic battle takes places across the heavens and into the afterlife.

London Has Fallen

US Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is in London with the US President and they are attending the Prime Minister's funeral, who has died under mysterious circumstances. Whilst at the funeral, Banning discovers a plot by terrorists to assassinate all the attending world leaders and springs into action to prevent this.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant Part 1

In Allegiant part one, Tris and Four are venturing into the world outside the fence and are then taken into protective custody by a mysterious agency known as the 'Bureau of Genetic Warfare'.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman takes on Superman after he feels Superman's actions are left unchecked and both worlds contemplate what kind of hero they really need. Whilst they are fighting each other, Lex Luthor creates a new threat, Doomsday who is set to destroy Metropolis. Batman and Superman must set aside their differences, and with the help of Wonder Woman, must stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday.

ReplyDeleteBut also looking forward to Zoolander 2! and Allegiant..I didnt enjoy the books much but really love the films! Which is strange for me as it is usually the other way around!
