Make Up Revolution Review: Cover and Conceal Palette

I bought this Make Up Revolution Cover & Conceal Palette (£5.99 from Superdrug) a few weeks ago, and have been using it nearly everyday to try and make my mind up as to what I actually think of it, so I can write a better review for you.

I have mixed opinions about this particular product, mostly because it seems to be good one day then useless the next. Now, this may be because of my skin itself, as it is sometimes more oily and my make up tends to slide off, and thus the concealer does not cover my redness very well. Normally I end up using this concealer under my foundation to cover redness, spots, and dark circles under my eyes, and have to use my collection concealer on top to make sure my spots are really covered. But, on a good skin day I can say just using this concealer palette itself is enough to cover and conceal some areas on my face.

However, I think I may need a little more practice with make up anyway because my make up shouldn't just slide off. I have recently been using a primer which seems to help though, so I am learning. With using a primer, this palette effectively covers dark circles really well, so that it a plus. I have problem skin, so my main concern is always to cover my redness and spots well, and thus was my reasoning behind purchasing this palette. I find myself only using 3 shades of this palette the most because they are more suited to my skin tone, but it is actually great for mixing shades which I have never done before with a concealer. At first, I found each shade to be a little waxy, but that may have been due to its newness because a small amount glides on my concealer brush very easily after a few uses.

Next, the packaging of this product is very sleek, and looks quite designer with its simple black and gold design. I cannot fault the packaging, and the full size mirror on the inside of the palette is very useful and has come in quite handy on many occasions when applying my concealer. For only £5.99 I think it is something you should definitely keep in your make up drawer, as it should last a while depending how much or often you apply concealer. I don't think I will be purchasing this palette again in much of a hurry because I am more eager to try different concealers or palettes that suit my skin type better and offers a more fuller coverage, but I will save this palette for those better skin days when I need less coverage. In my opinion, I still have yet to find a concealer that beats the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer.

Have you used this before and what do you think of Make Up Revolution products?
