Haul post: see what I've been buying!

I have been accumulating that many odds bits and bobs over the past few weeks, I thought it would be time for a haul post so I can share with you what I've been splurging on. I had to scramble around my room because some of the stuff I have completely forgotten about. So, I have tried to pick out some the better items to show you.
First, I walked into the Kiko Milano store just to have a browse, but we all know what that means. I have been sticking to one nail polish recently, so I was looking for another colour to wear all the time. I picked up this purple (shade 331 Violet), which is slightly darker than a lilac when it's on. I think it looks great and perfect to transition into spring colours, and cost only £2.50. Also, I have been after a bronze coloured single eye shadow for a while, and I swatched a great one but sadly it was out of stock. Instead, I picked up this cream shadow in shade 06 Pearly Chocolate which is a slightly darker shaded bronze which I am excited to try out. This was £3.40.
Next, I actually needed a new make up bag that I keep in my drawer because some shampoo has leaked in the one I have now (don't ask). So, is there really a better excuse to pop into Primark? I got this cute light pink and grey animal print make up bag for £3. It is the same size as my other one, so it will be fine for fitting all my daily make up in. And I picked up these cute cat-eye sunglasses for only £2! I absolutely love these and can't wait to wear them.
Also, I picked up this hairbrush from Primark a couple weeks ago because the handle broke on my other brush (not having much luck here am I?). It cost only £1.50, and I love the animal print design on the back. It does the job, and it's still all in one piece so I think I'm doing well now.
I really needed a new lunch bag for work, so I thought why not splurge on a pretty Ted Baker Didicon Bow bag. I have the small version, and it is perfect for putting all my food in so it doesn't get squashed. This bag actually took ages to straighten out. It was flat when I go it, so I had to leave some heavy books in it for two days so it would stop folding back on itself, but now that's sorted it's great to go! I got mine from House of Fraser for £29.
I tell myself that I need to stop buying so many jumpers, but I saw this one in New Look for £7.99 and I could not resist. I have a jumper problem, I know. It is the softest and comfiest jumper I have ever owned though, and it's nice and baggy just the way I like it. And, I picked up this very warm scarf from Primark for £4. It is white, with a light pink and grey check pattern which I thought was quite lovely. I have worn it a few times now and it sure does keep my neck warm in the wind!
I did pick up some new underwear from Boux Avenue, as I love their underwear. They have a great 3 for £12 offer which is on all the time, and they add new styles/colours quite often. I didn't think you would actually want to see them, but you can have a browse online or in-store yourself to see some of the great things they have. They also wrap them up in cute tissue paper, and throw in some lovely scented flower petals which I wish lasted forever. A Boux Avenue day is always a good day!
If you follow me on Twitter, then you will know that I couldn't decide on whether I should get either of these dresses. But after a lot of people telling me to get the stripey dress on the right from New Look, I decided that I am going to order it online when it's payday. Also, I have finally ordered the black dress on the left from H&M. It was only £9.99, so I don't know why I didn't just buy it when I tried it on, but sometimes I doubt whether it looks good or not.
Lastly, my most exciting splurge so far has to be on my first ever tripod for my camera. I picked a Manfrotto tripod after receiving some advice from my dad. It is quite a small tripod meant for starter cameras and kit lenses. I have used it a couple times so far and  I just think it is amazing. It will also help me taking better photographs for my blog, and hopefully with outfit posts in the future.

So, there you go! What do you think of my latest buys, and what are your favourites? Let me know what you've been splurging on too!

  3. What a successful shopping trip! Love it all! I spotted those bags last time I went shopping and loved them but thought too small to use as a general bag, but after seeing you use this as a lunch bag I am going to get one! Genius idea! I am back to work in May after Maternity so this is a must to cheer myself up about it. Love anything with a bow, even have a bow tattoo behind my ear

    1. Ahh you're very lucky if one has just opened in your town, I have to travel a little further to the next towns for a Kiko store! From what I have tried so far from Kiko I absolutely love!! Their lipsticks are great, and eyeshadow is highly pigmented. The nail polish has lasted well so far (I'm still wearing it) after 4 days and I only have a chip on my index finger! AND they have an amazing choice of various shades to choose from, I would recommend you taking a look for sure! Thank you for reading Sarah :) xx
