Recent Netflix Marathons

Hey friends! I have been on a mini Netflix marathon recently and have finished a couple of series in a short amount of time which is somewhat embarrassing... Anyway, I thought I would share with you what I have been watching and maybe you have watched them too (or you'll watch them after reading this).

1. Daredevil:

Marvel's Daredevil is based on the Marvel Comics and revolves around a few main characters. Matt Murdock is a lawyer in the daytime and fights crime in the nighttime. Murdock was blinded by an accident as a child but does not let this ability get the better of him, and you see some insanely awesome fighting scenes when he plays his Daredevil character. I was waiting to watch this series since it came out, and it's safe to say I was ultimately impressed, and I think I managed to watch the full first season in less than a week (that's how gripped I was). So, for any fans of Marvel and/or superheros I would certainly recommend a watch because it's just that good. The villains play very good characters, and there are some quite brutal scenes that had me cringing a little, but that's what makes it so real. And I cannot wait for the next series to arrive. So, why not put it on your list?!

2. Orange is the New Black:

I was unsure whether to start watching this series or not, because I had seen all the fantastic reviews raving about this Netflix series, but just didn't get round to it. However, after watching the full three seasons within the last week, I am certainly glad that I watched it (yeah I know three seasons in one week equals bad, but it's so good). I was hooked from the very first episode, and constantly wanted to know what happened next after each episode and thus we have ourselves a very real marathon. As the series progressed, I found the background stories to each of the characters the most interesting because it revealed why the characters acted in the ways they did and somehow connected you to them as you came to understand them more. Of course, the happenings inside the prison and the constant jokes had me in giggles because each of the characters are so unique. Also, there were a few moments that literally shocked me and I was sat there with my mouth wide open in awe just saying "whaaaaaaaaat?!" over and over again. There is nothing about this series that is boring and for that reason alone I would recommend you to watch. Go on, what are you waiting for?

3. Pretty Little Liars:

I actually started to watch PLL when it first came on TV a few years ago, but I have got to admit I am pretty bad at keeping up with series unless I can binge watch them, like on Netflix for example. So, after finishing OITNB, I decided to click on PLL and start watching it again from the first season. I can remember parts of what happened from the first time I watched it but, I am just refreshing my memory, and I actually want to catch up to the current series. With all the episodes on Netflix and my current "marathon mood" I am 100% sure I will easily get through this series. If you are into more of a girly mystery drama series then I would say you would love PLL. The series revolves around four high school friends who are, after the death of their best friend, are troubled by someone pretending to be their lately deceased friend known as "A". And you follow the story as the girls try to figure out who is A and the obstacles they encounter along the way. Packed with boy drama, and various other high school dramas you'd expect, you'll be hooked as I was. So, I'll continue to watch PLL and update you on my progress, and no spoilers please!

Have you seen these series or what series have you been going crazy over on Netflix recently?

Teen Wolf: New Season

I have just finished season four of Teen Wolf after practically binge-watching the last four seasons over the past few weeks. And now can you imagine my excitement after finding out that there's going to be a season five and it's first episode will be airing on MTV on 29th June!! It's part of a two-part premiere on the 29th and 30th June. That's less than a couple weeks away, and I won't have that 'lost' feeling you get after finishing a series, I am so over the moon about this (excuse the moon pun).

Now, if you have seen Teen Wolf you will probably understand why I have been addicted to it for the past few weeks. As usual, after each episode it leaves you longing to know what happens next. There are quite a few plot twists that I did not expect, which kept me gripped and as the seasons continue I think Teen Wolf gets a little darker. And by darker I mean there are more scary monsters and lots more action (including blood of course).

So, if you're into the supernatural sort of series, that involves werewolves and other beings, then I would recommend giving this a watch. And prepare to be gripped and wanting to know more after each episode! Also, for any fans of Teen Wolf already, are you excited for the new season?

Have you seen the trailer for season five yet? If not you can watch it here.
