Beauty: Eyebrow Products for Redheads

It's taken me years to find the perfect products for my eyebrows, and I'm going to share them with you.

Now you might be thinking why would I need to know this because majority of you won't have red hair, but pretty much all of these products come in different shades such as; blonde, brown, dark brown. I mostly want to review the quality of the products, but if you do have red hair this post may help you.
Maybelline Brow Satin in shade 'Red Mahogany'.
Firstly, my everyday product is the Maybelline Brow Satin pencil in the shade 'Mahogany Red' which has pencil on one side and a powder in the lid on the other for filling in. This is the most handy brow product I have because it it most useful for travel or popping in my handbag in case I need a top up - which is hardly ever on a normal day. This is become my holy grail eyebrow product because it is great for filling in my brows and shaping them, but mostly importantly because the colour actually matches my hair! It's a light brown but with that red tint I've always been missing in other products. You can see the redness in the photo above. So if you are a natural redhead and struggle to find brow products with the right colour, I'd seriously recommend this one - a bargain at £6.99 too!
Freedom Duo Brow Powder in shade 'Auburn'.
Next, I use the Freedom Duo Brow Powder in the shade 'Auburn' because this also has more of a red tinted powder in it. This one is only £3.00! It comes with a red-brown and a darker shaded brown. If I'm honest I mostly use the red tinted side more to fill in my brows, but I would use the other side for a more dramatic look on nights out. You can see in the picture above the difference between the red-tinted side and more brown side. It comes with a mirror in the lid, so it is very handy for popping in your travel bag, you just need to remember to carry an eyebrow brush too. I rely on my Real Techniques one, it's perfect!
Freedom Pro Brow Pomade in shade 'Auburn'.
Freedom Make-Up also do Pro Brow Pomades which are considerably cheaper than that well-known popular brand - they are only £5.00! The one I use is also in the shade 'Auburn' but I do find the pomade to be darker than the powder fill-ins I use, so I save this mostly for full make up looks. This one comes in a range of all different colours to suit all, which is something I really like about Freedom Make-Up. The pomade took a bit of getting used to at first but after experimenting a few times I've got a technique that works for my brows without them looking too 'full on'. A tip I would give is that less is always more! You don't need lots of product on your brush, start with a light swipe and if you need more you can always build on it (like you would with foundation).

Lastly, I always fix my brows into shape with a clear mascara. The Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara is my ultimate favourite (only £5.99)! This one comes in Blonde, Brown and a Dark Brown shade too. I wish they did a mahogany red in this brow mascara, who knows maybe they will in the future because there's certainly a gap in the market in this sort of thing for those of us with red hair. This one is my favourite because my brows product always stays on longer when I use it, and also helps to tame those stray hair that want to stick up anyway they want (you know what I mean).

So, there you have it my top eyebrow products as a redhead. So if you're stuck for matching your brows to your hair, I've got you. But if you're also not a redhead, these budget-friendly products do all come in those 'normal' shades and I would recommend them all for their shaping, filling-in and staying power.

Have you tried any of these products, and what are your thoughts?

  1. I use and love the maybelline brow drama! Such a shame they don't do more shades though
